- Information collected about you
RAPT collects the information that either you provide to the application during using it or you pride the app permission to access. This information includes the phone numbers and email addresses that you enter to the application, your name, your pictures, your date of birth, names associated with your phone contacts, phone numbers and email addresses associated with your phone contacts, your credentials to login to your Facebook account, your credentials for the RAPT application, your location and geolocation, the financial information that you use to make payments, such as credits card number, address, Apple Pay credentials, Google Wallet credentials, and credentials for other payment methods. This information may be stored in servers and databases in the United States or other locations throughout the world. We may use various cloud services to store and analyze your data.
We may also collect the information regarding your contacts such as their names, email addresses, phone numbers, pictures, addresses.
We may track your activities on the RAPT application, and store any data associated with such activities.
- Verification of your information
We may verify the phone numbers that you provide to the application by sending an SMS text message to you that includes a code. We may verify the email addresses that you provide to the application by sending you an email that contains a clickable verification link.
- How we use the information that we collect
RAPT and its affiliates use the collected information for the purposes described as the application’s goals and objectives. Mainly, to help you ‘mark’ your contacts, so RAPT can apply the ‘matching’ algorithm and notify you and your contact if a match takes place.
We may use your information to send you targeted advertisements from time to time. We may also show ads on various pages of the mobile app.
We use your information to improve our services, also to provide you with customer services you need.
We never sell your information to any third party. We may allow the third parties, however, to post advertisements on various pages of the application. We may also share the collected information from you, your contacts, and your RAPT account with third parties in order to perform or improve RAPT’s business to achieve its missions.
We may disclose the information we have gathered from you in response to an order issues by a court, a subpoena or an investigative demand, request for cooperation from a law enforcement or a government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
We may disclose the information we have gathered from you when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to assist efforts to investigate, prevent, or take other action against an illegal activity or fraud or other wrongdoing in order to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, our employees, or others; to comply with applicable law or cooperate with law enforcement.
We may disclose the information we have gathered from you in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business, a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the event of bankruptcy.
- How we protect your information
We take appropriate actions such as applying physical security to the computers, servers, databases, etc., applying cyber security rules to access the information, and applying procedural rules to the use of the information. No protection, however, is completely perfect when it gets to the Internet or mobile devices. You, therefore, understand that there is a chance that the information we collect might be accessed by others and misused. The RAPT application, its personnel, owners, operators, and affiliated companies are not responsible for any data that is leaked, hacked, or accessed by unauthorized parties, and how it is used; and for any harm caused such incidents.
You are in charge of controlling your login and password information. You need to make sure you use a strong password and that you do not disclose it to other people. You should change your password from time to time. You should change your password as soon as you notice that it might be compromised. You should also pay attention and take care on how you share your information on the Internet and using mobile applications. We recommend that you keep the firmware and operating system of your mobile device at their latest versions in order to keep the application’s functionality at its best, and benefit from the latest measures of operation as we well as cyber security measures for your device.
We may communicate with you regarding our new plans to keep your data secure, also regarding any problem we notice with regard to the security of your account or your data.
We may communicate with you regarding any of the issues described above, or other issues, via email, SMS text messages, and in-app notifications.
- How you can access and modify your information
You can access the Profile and other user-related information in the application, under the Settings tab.
You can modify the information as well. For your protection against unauthorized change, modification of sensitive information will require confirmation by you via email and SMS text message.
- How you can delete your account and its information
If you choose to delete your account, you may do so from the application, under the Settings tab, by clicking on “Deleting RAPT Account”. Following your confirmation, your RAPT account, along with all the personal data, pictures, marking history, matching history, remaining purchased credits and payment information will be deleted from our system. The deleted information will not be recoverable.
Following deleting your account, you’ll not be able to login to the application or access any information in RAPT anymore. The only way to use the application for a user that has deleted the account would be to Sign Up again.
We will keep a log of the primary information that are used to open an account, so a user is not offered free introductory credits in case of deleting and re-opening accounts.
You may choose to delete your account for various reasons such as the following:
- Not needing the application’s services due to finding a partner
- (any other reason)
- Application ‘Log out’
Following your initial Sign Up with the RAPT application, the application remains in ‘log in’ status on your mobile phone, meaning: the application opens up on your phone by clicking on it without asking for your password or any further verification. You are responsible to ‘Log out’ from the application if you see a need to do so. Log out can be accessed under the Setting tab.
If you believe there’s any chance that your mobile phone can be accessed by others, we recommend that you log out from the application following every use, so others cannot access any sensitive or private information in the application.
We also recommend that you protect access to your mobile phone by setting up passwords and other measures of access-limitation on your phone.
We shall not be responsible for any damages caused by unauthorized access to your phone or the RAPT application on your phone by other people.
- Notifications, SMS Text Messages, and Emails
RAPT may send you in-app notifications, as well as text messages (SMS), and emails regarding your current activities on the application, verifying your information, status of your marking, status of your matches, status of your credits and purchases, your status with regard to the app in general, suggested places to date, and other subjects. When you sign up with this application, you consent to receive email and SMS text messages from us. At any time, however, you can choose to opt out from the marketing emails that we send you, by clicking on ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of a marketing email. It may take up to seven (7) business days to process such opt-out requests.
You understand that it is part of RAPT’s business model to share a “match notification” (also known as “Good News”) with the contacts that you have been matched with.
You understand that despite our efforts to send you the notifications, SMS test messages, and emails only at specific times per RAPT’s functional needs, there’s a chance that you receive unrelated notifications, SMS text messages, and emails by mistake. By using the application, you accept not to hold the RAPT application, its personnel, and affiliated companies responsible in such occasions.
Standard text messaging rates may apply by your mobile phone carrier company to your mobile phone billing when you receive text messages (SMS) from RAPT and when you reply to them. You can turn off some of these notifications from the ‘Settings’ tab of the application.
- Your choice about providing your information
You can choose not to provide your information or information related to your contacts to the application. By doing so, however, you will limit the capability of the application to perform its functions, and you may decrease your chance of finding a match via the application. For example, the more phone numbers or email addresses you ‘mark’ from your contacts, there would be more chance of “matching” to take place if they also mark you in return.
